A planned gift is a powerful way to support the League’s mission beyond your lifetime. Your generosity helps us keep tuition affordable, offer scholarships to deserving students, and ensure that our studios remain a vibrant and inclusive space for artists of all levels.
How to make a planned gift
Establish a bequest in your will or living trustYou can designate the Art Students League as a beneficiary in your will or trust with one of the following options:
Sample language for your will:
"I give [dollar amount/percentage/specific asset] to the Art Students League of New York, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization located at 215 West 57th Street, New York, NY 10019, Federal Tax ID #13-1844837, for its general purposes."
Name the Art Students League as a beneficiary of your IRA, 401(k), or other retirement accounts. This is often a tax-efficient way to make a gift, as retirement assets left to a nonprofit are not subject to income tax.
You can designate the League as a full or partial beneficiary of a life insurance policy you no longer need.
