Below is a list of important dates in the Art Students League's Academic Calendar, including observed holidays when our building is closed, and the beginning and end this year's sessions.

Students will have NO ACCESS to lockers or studios May 26–June 1. During this time, the League will be CLOSED for one week of routine cleaning and maintenance.
The registration office will be open with limited hours; the Phyllis Harriman Mason Gallery, Art Supply Store, Library, and Café Atelier will be closed.
Students will not have access to studios or lockers until Monday, June 2.
Any items found in lockers that are unrented will be emptied and discarded. Only items stored in current/paid lockers, and Area 2 Member lockers in good standing with a paid rental, do not need to be emptied.
Students Not Registering for June:
Empty the contents of your locker no later than 5PM on May 25, and process the withdrawal in-person with a clerk in the main office or by phone (212-247-4510 ext. 6).
Lockers in Arrears (unpaid) as of April 30, 2025, will be emptied and deposit fee will not be refunded.
All belongings must be removed from studios and hallways. To avoid disrupting ongoing classes please remove your items at the end of your class time.
Any items left in racks or on top of lockers in League studios or hallways will be permanently removed from League premises.
PAINTING, DRAWING, MIXED MEDIA:
Clear out all materials, tools, and personal items from studios and hallways no later than 5PM on Sunday May 25.
PRINTMAKING:
Students not enrolling in summer Printmaking classes or enrolling in a different instructed printmaking class, will need to clear their materials from the flat files before the end of the fall session, no later than 5PM, May 25.
Students continuing with the same instructor printmaking class do not need to remove their materials from the flat files.
All stands must be cleared of all materials, padlocks, tools, and personal effects and returned to its original condition. (Stands will be assigned to registered students the first week of class by monitors).
CLAY SCULPTURE:
The studios may not to be used as a storage facility. Students must remove all sculptures from the clay and casting studios by 5PM, Sunday, May 25.
KILN FIRING:
Ensure all work is completely dried, ready to fire, and placed on the appropriate shelving with attached paperwork by Friday, May 16.
STONE/WOOD SCULPTURE:
Students registered for June classes may leave one piece of stone or wood with a June 2025 registration ticket attached. The office can print the ticket upon request.
METAL WELDING, CERAMIC, WAX SCULPTURE:
Recommended: Take your work home.The League will not be responsible for anything left in or around studios. Speak with your instructor or facility director for permission if special accommodation is needed. Ceramic Kiln Firing: Discuss with your instructor.

The Phyllis Harriman Mason Gallery, Art Supply Store, Library, and Café Atelier are closed throughout the Clean Out and will reopen on Monday, June 2.
