2026 Final Project Exhibition

The Art Students League of New York proudly presents the 2026 Final Project Exhibition at The Painting Center in Manhattan’s Chelsea neighborhood.

This annual exhibition celebrates artists who have recently completed a course of intensive study within the League’s renowned atelier system in order to earn a Certificate ofFine Art in Painting, Printmaking, Sculpture, Drawing, Comics and Narrative Arts, or Mixed Media.

Featured this year are Richie Chen, Lily Lu, Francis Nguyen, Fabian Pearl, Akiko Takai, and Xiya Wang.Representing a range of mediums, formats, techniques, and practices their works address themes of cultural memory, identity, embodiment, abstraction, and materiality.

The Painting Center is a non-profit organization in New York City with strong roots in the art community and a reputation for integrity in its programming. Their mission is to provide exhibition opportunities for emerging, mid-career, and established artists. The PaintingCenter has continually built upon its purpose of offering an alternative space dedicated to the exhibition of painting and various media regardless of market appeal. The Painting Center is a gathering place for artists and those who love art; it is a democratic arena that fosters dialogue, experimentation, and community among artists.
