Explore the world of oil paints and mediums with artist Jim Bergesen and Winsor & Newton Artist Oils. Bergesen will share a brief overview of oil paints and brushes, and demonstrate the various mediums available such as Liquin, impasto, and solvents. This presentation is a must for those looking to learn about oil painting and ways to improve the texture and flow of their paints. Samples will be made available.

Jim Bergesen is a New York based Artist & Educator, he uses Watercolor, Acrylics, Oils, Mixed media as well as Digital media in his art practice. His artworks strive to find the unseen connections through re-focusing and re-framing what is perceived. Color explorations in both pixelated and solid forms permeate his work where the representational is extracted and abstractions are generated.
In addition to an MFA, an MA in Contemporary Art History and Criticism (SUNY, Purchase College), Bergesen is a Life Member of the Art Students League of New York. He is also an active Board member of ArtBridge, a not-for-profit public arts organization in NYC promoting emerging artists, as well a member of the Advisory Board of Faces not Forgotten, a national arts organization that provides awareness of the gun violence through art.
