Alexander Nagel is Craig Hugh Smyth Professor of Fine Arts at the Institute of Fine Arts. He is the author of Amerasia (with Elizabeth Horodowich) (ZONE Books, 2023), Medieval Modern (Thames and Hudson, 2012), The Controversy of Renaissance Art (University of Chicago Press, 2011), Anachronic Renaissance (with Christopher Wood) (ZONE Books, 2010), and Michelangelo and the Reform of Art (Cambridge University Press, 2000).
