Draw from live models with Eisner award-winning creator Alex Maleev (Daredevil, New Avengers, Masterpiece) in Manhattan’s finest art school, The Art Students League of New York. A veteran of the comics industry, Maleev will talk about the importance of life drawing and offer practical art tips during the session.
Please bring your own art materials. We have an Art Supply Store on the first floor.

Alex Maleev is a New York-based Bulgarian comic book illustrator best known for his runs on Daredevil and Iron Man for Marvel Comics. He has worked for almost every major comic book company including DC Comics (Batman Chronicles, Event Leviathan). Maleev was also a storyboard artist on the films Great Expectations, Hell’s Kitchen, Coming Soon, and The Bone Collector. He is currently working on his creator-owned series with writer Brian Michael Bendis, Masterpiece.
