This exhibition celebrates the life and work of the late League instructor Ronald N. Sherr (1952-2022) by exploring his artistic relationships. It features four of his works alongside the works of his teachers Harvey Dinnerstein and Dan Greene as well as a select number of his students, including Daniel Adel, C.P. Beaty, Mark Gonzales, Yuka Imata, Steven Polson, Vebjørn Sand, and Bennett Vadnais. An accomplished artist, Sherr’s portraits of notable Americans include former presidents, Supreme Court justices, senators and governors as well as leaders in business, medicine, academia and the arts, such as General Colin Powell, George H. W. Bush, and Anthony M. Kennedy. Sherr taught at the League from 1990 to 2005.
